DOCK LADDER SPECS

*** Please use this info as guide when determining ladder size and style:

• Basic info:

  • All dock ladders rated for 665 lbs. per rung

  • All ladders are approximately 21"inches wide.
    Each step (rung) is 12" inches apart, meaning a 3 step dock ladder extends 3 feet from the dock, a 4 step extends 4 feet from the dock and so on.
    For maximum comfort, ladder steps are 2 inches deep

  • All ladders are made from marine grade aluminum.

• Ladder Size:

  • 3 step ladder hangs down 3' feet from the dock.

  • 4 step ladder hangs down 4' feet from the dock.

  • 5 step ladder hangs down 5' feet from the dock.

  • 6 step ladder hangs down 6' feet from the dock.

  • 7 step ladder hangs down 7' feet from the dock.
     

• Ladder Length - Fixed Docks:

  • Access to and from the water is easiest with at least 2-3 rungs into the water at the waters lowest level.

  • Maximum ladder length is determined by the distance from the dock to the sea bed, then minus 1 rung. (This is so the ladder does not sit on the sea bottom.)
    Optimal ladder length is determined by the distance from the dock to the water, then ad 2 rungs.

  Ladder Length - Floating Docks:
  • Access to and from the water is easiest with at least 2-3 rungs into the water at the waters lowest level.
  • Optimal ladder length is determined by the distance from the dock to the water, then ad 2 rungs.

• Hoop Handles:
  • Protrudes 14" inches onto the dock.
  • Are 23 1/4" inches high

  Finger Piers:

  • Protrudes 8" inches onto the dock.
     
• Ladder Style: Hoop handles or no hoop handles?
  • Hoop handles protrude 14' inches onto the dock, and require enough dock space to walk freely around the ladder.
